Travelbuddy Guardian Angel award

Baz Bus is the present holder of our 'Travelbuddy Guardian Angel' award.

This award is given to a company or individual who goes out of their way to assist Tourists or Students in times of need, thereby preventing a potentially harmful situation arising, and at the same time promotes goodwill, encourages patriotism and helps develop a national pride

Baz Bus will hold this position until the next South African goes out of their way to save the day for a tourist, student and South Africa 's image. To encourage South Africans to participate they will receive free exposure on eblockwatch emails sent to thousands of members and tourists in South Africa .

How Baz Bus won the award.

Incident - Saturday afternoon. A few Aussie gap year students who are visiting South Africa for a few months were stranded at the toll road in Mooi River when their car broke down. As they are registered on eblockwatch's project which links tourists to locals wherever they happen to be while travelling through South Africa , we received their panic alert via sms to inform our travelbuddy that we had a tourist in distress.

A local hotel was contacted in Mooi River to give them local streetwise advice, the garage owner was requested to transport them to a hotel down the road and Baz Bus offered to fetch them from Mooi River and transport them to their hotel in Johannesburg , free of charge, the next day.

Baz Bus transports students and tourists around South Africa on a hop-on-hop-off system which is something fantastic to know.

Well done Baz Bus and thank you for making South Africa a safer place for our kids and tourists.

Please support this service because they deserve it.

Andre Snyman

Kind Regards
