Flexi-Basic 1 consists of a 4 day wildlife safari in the Kruger National Park and Mpumalanga area and a Baz Bus hop-on hop-off ticket between Cape Town and Johannesburg via the Drakensberg Mountains. With your Baz Bus ticket, you decide where you want to stay along the route and how long you want to stay for. Minimum recommended travel time is 14 days but you can take as long as you want!

An additional R50 Fuel Levy will be added to all ticket prices over R500.

BAZ BUS TICKET - Hop-on Hop-off from Johannesburg or Pretoria via the Drakensberg Mountains to Cape Town. (Alternatively start in Cape Town). Departs: see timetable

WILDLIFE SAFARI - Experience game viewing at its best in the Kruger National Park and surrounds. It is one of the few places on earth where wildlife can be seen in such great variety and at such close quarters. Spot the BIG 5 (Lion, Rhino, Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo). Open vehicle game drives give you excellent photographic opportunities. The tour also covers the picturesque Mpumalanga area, including God's Window and the amazing Blyde River Canyon. Includes 2 meals per day, 2 game drives and tented accommodation. Departs - From your backpacker hostel in Johannesburg, Pretoria or Nelspruit Daily.

Bring your own sleeping bag along for the Wildlife Safari OR hire one at R60 directly from the safari company.

Our busses only run during the day i.e. they leave Cape Town in the morning and arrive in Port Elizabeth in the evening. Please check the timetable for more detailed information.
OVERNIGHT STOPS: Port Elizabeth and Durban are compulsory overnight stopovers.
SHUTTLE SERVICES: Some of the locations shown on the map are only accessible through the use of Shuttle Services which link to our route. Shuttle Services run independently to Baz Bus and need to be pre-arranged by the traveller. Shuttle costs are payable directly to the hostel offering the service. View list of shuttle services.
